Your images
We can work from your original photographs, digital files and high quality scans.

Ensure you choose an image of good quality:
- if it is a clean, sharp, high resolution, it is suitable for enlarging.

We can also work from original drawings, sketches and paintings
- including kids’ drawings and paintings.

The quality of your original image will affect the final product:
Always send the actual photograph, not a photcopy
Digital files should be of the highest resolution available

Photocopies and low resolution files are generally not suitable for reproduction
- they are grainy and fuzzy when enlarged.

Out of focus images cannot be re-focused.

Photos taken from camera phones are generally unsuitable for reproduction
- they look fine on your phone, but lose all definition when enlarged.

We can size and crop your image to suit your needs. Please bear in mind that for a framed canvas the edges of your image will appear ‘wrapped’ around the frame. Try to ensure that the main content is not too close to the edge. However, it is sometimes possible to ‘float’ the image on the face of the canvas or ‘rebuild’ edges.
If this is the case, send us your image and we’ll advise of the cost for this additional work. Please let us know if you’d like your image cropped in a particular way.
You should ensure that the section of the photo you want to reproduce has sufficient detail - this is particularly important for portraits.

Do not write on, mark or cut your original photograph - we can often eliminate backgrounds and unwanted items from your images - send us your image and ask for a ‘magic’ treatment, specifying how you’d like your image modified, and we’ll advise of the cost for this additional work.
We work from a high resolution scan we take, returning your original photgraph to you unaltered.

Often we are sent precious photographs and documents - and yes, we understand! We’ll handle them carefully to preserve their quality and return them with the completed order.

Copyright:
If you are not the owner of the image, you need to ensure that you obtain any necessary permissions from the owners of the copyright: wriggly-tin.com can accept no responsibilty if you do not do this. We respect the rights of photographers and artists and will not knowingly reproduce images without the consent of copyright holders.

Canvas prints:
We use high quality artists’ materials, long term, uv stable inks and pigments, 36mm deep exhibition-grade wooden stretcher frames, which are profiled to lift the canvas from the frame (other frames evenutally leave unsightly ghost lines on the canvas), and corner stretching wedges (to allow for future re-stretching - vital with larger canvasses). Images are ‘wrapped’ around the profiled frame, and all fixings are hidden on the rear. Finally, we protect your image with ‘Printguard’, making it easy to maintain - resistant to dust and water - and we string the back.
Your image arrives complete, ready to hang.

Acrylics:
Our acrylic sheets are made from chunky 10mm thick sheet and are available in clear or silicone finish, complete with polished edges for a luxury look and stainless steel (no rust) hanging locators in either polished or brushed effect in a range of sizes. We apply your protected print to the rear of the sheet for a long, stable, scratch-free life - we don’t print directly to the acrylic as this type of printing is susceptible to damage and deterioration.

Blockmounts:
Ideal for high traffic areas, and cost effective. Prints are wrapped around 10mm and 18mm boards, and can be flat to a wall, or mounted with our stainless steel locators detailed above.
